A set tempo: the clock a performance is judged against instead of the tempo the performer happens to hold. Timing is then absolute — early and late against the beat — an event whose beat passes unplayed shows as missing at once, and a performer who stops is picked up again at the beat they rejoin on.

    Properties

    bpm: number

    Quarter notes per minute

The metronome's click, so the session can take it out of what the microphone hears: a click landing inside the window a note is read from would otherwise ruin the reading. The count-in clicks show how late the clicks arrive, and the beat is judged where they are heard — the notes come in by the same path; through headphones none is found and nothing is touched.

    missAfterMs?: number

How long after an event's beat it is shown as missing while nothing has been played for it (default: 400)

    startMs: number

Stream time at which the start of the followed region is due — the end of any count-in
